Still in High School?

Today I had a flood of emails about friendships... It got me thinking that we are in a perpetual state of high school. In the 80's, we had jocks, preps, and heads.... I stepped back and had a look at all my friends, could I categorize all of them into those groups? Sure, but the difference now is that I don't care what labels they carry, I truly like them for who they are. I still have a few friends that my mother warned me about, those kids who would be considered the "bad crowd" (Bad at my age is a joke) Needless to say, I keep them around not only because they make me laugh but also remind me where I don't want to be. Can one friend lead me away from who I really am? Nope.. I won't compromise to impress ever again.. I guess I just left High School.
